Thanks to the help of our town coordinators we track how much trash is cleaned up, how many volunteers helped and how many abandoned tires were properly disposed of. Great work!

2025 Contest Time!!!

Something for every talent. Work in groups or on your own, with the whole class or a group of friends – the main thing is to have fun and share your love for Green Up Day!
   • Art Contest – visualize on paper for all to see.
   • Writing Contest – poem, essay, speech – the sky’s the limit.
   • Video Contest – :60 “commercial” to show others why Green Up matters!
   • Jingle Contest – :15 to :30 diddy to inspire people to Green Up.
   • Mentor Program – leadership opportunity looks great on resumes and college apps.
   • Green Up at Home & School – start a movement, become GREEN influencers.
   • Plogging?? – jog around and pick up litter, track your amounts and see your impact.
   • Apply for the scholarship – have you ever Greened Up? that makes you eligible.

AT GREEN UP VERMONT

We live our mission to keep Vermont beautiful.

Green Up Vermont’s mission is to promote the stewardship of our state’s natural landscape and waterways, and the livability of our communities by involving people in Green Up Day while raising public awareness about the health, economic, and visual benefits of a litter-free environment year-round.

Green Up works year-round.

Although our main event is Green Up Day, Green Up Vermont works year-round to raise awareness and stewardship, create special programs, and to engage youth. Read more about our initiatives and how to get involved. Its feels great to give back!

Best Bag for the Job! 

Many ask why we don’t use a more organic bag. When you bury any trash bag in a landfill, they all take decades to decopose without oxygen. Bags For a Cause Program

Need a few more reusable shopping bags? Purchase these bags displayed at all Shaws stores in Vermont. Green Up Vermont is the nonprofit recipient of the bags for March, April and May! The reusable sbags help with your groceries, help the earth and help Green Up.

An Easy Way to Help

When doing your taxes this year remember to donate to Green Up Vermont on Line 23 of your VT return. Even if you can only spare a couple bucks, this program really adds up and helps us keep Green Up Day alive. Your donation makes an impact.
